I completed the King Of The Hill Obstacle event with client, Arvi.

This wasn’t your typical obstacle run – this was part of the OCR calendar.
The OCR calendar is for those who run these events every weekend – that’s just their thing, I guess.
People take these events seriously – they have a league table and everything!
I get that though – it’s their way of being competitive by doing something they enjoy.
Personally I treat these events as something fun to take part in.
I don’t really train for these events but the approach I use at PSPT means we can focus on staying lean, getting stronger, feeling energised and healthy.
The bonus of all that is, we can step into one of these events for fun (just like the Wolf Run) and not be out of our depth.
We started at the back of the pack, so it was a slow start! But Arvi and I had a focus.
There were a bunch dressed as ‘Where’s Wally?’ a few hundred yards in front of us.
Don’t let those costumes fool you – these guys do this stuff every weekend!
I said we do this stuff for fun, but like always at PSPT, we use a focus to move us forward.
So we decided we wanted to beat these Wally guys.
But it wasn’t going well.
Yours truly was struggling with the water obstacles.
Did I tell you I don’t like water?
But luckily we could see their stripy tops in the distance.
Did I mention that this was called King Of The Hill?
Well that was a deceiving name – I was expecting to be King of ‘A’ hill…
… instead we must have ran up and down about 15 of the buggers!
Which WAS hard.
But this is where me and Arv hit back.
I’m a MASTER of leg training and hills are what we enjoy!
We could see the ‘Wally clan’ and we were closing in.
Up and down the hills we went, just like a game of Snakes and Ladders.
If we’d had our iPhones with us then STRAVA would’ve had an headache with all the hills.
We caught up with the Wallys!
After we overtook them we didn’t see them again.
We may not’ve been at the front, or even the middle, but we’d won our very own little battle.
We were Kings Of The Hills!
It was a great event and I was proud of Arvi.
You see, Arvi’s come a long way.
And not just up those hills!
Last year he was down in the dumps, feeling low and lacking energy.
He’d tried the gym but It just wasn’t working for him…
… nothing was making him work towards his goals…
… until he was at a party with friends one night and someone said he’d put on weight!
Don’t you just love it when your friends are honest?!
This struck a chord with Arvi.
You see we CHANGE our behaviours when the PAIN of staying the same becomes greater than the PAIN of making a CHANGE.
These consequences give us the pain that motivates us to change.
Arvi knew he needed to change.
Just like on those hills, he needed a focus to work towards.
Instead of being put down, Arvi surrounded himself with people full of positive talk – just like my Inner Circle.
This year Arvi’s been using the methodology from my 12 Week Plan.
He’s made some massive changes, don’t you think?

BUT the pictures don’t tell you the other stuff.
Arvi’s now:
- Sleeping at night
- Waking up with energy
- Fitting into his old clothes again
- Feeling CONFIDENT working out
- Being LESS stressed at work.
Apart from that, he’s having fun exercising again and joining in with members of my Inner Circle and making his friends proud.
(Oh and he’s getting nice compliments at parties now!)
BUT this didn’t just happen. Arvi was once scared and was holding back on his own health.
Can I ask you a question?
How do you want to FEEL in 2016?
I’d love to know.
Maybe I could help with something…
