I wanted to give you some tips on how you could become a Ninja with your healthy eating.
One of the biggest issues people face I find when it comes to eating well is those moments ‘on the go’ and snacking.
It’s fair to say that 50% of peoples calories can come from snacking and eating food which does not serve them.
And the calorie intake is often HIGHER than they think.
Travelling often leads to fatigue or lack of options and that moment of weakness from being tired, hungry or desperate can lead you to eating food you’ll possibly regret…
…certainly if you are trying to take care of yourself.
Now I’m not saying you can’t eat sandwiches, crips, cakes and chocolates.
But they affect your mood, your energy and ultimately how you feel and look.
Do you want that?
People often say to me ‘it’s hard’ for them, they don’t do 9-5, they don’t sit in an office next to a fridge. They spend time on trains and motorways.
Life is hard, it’s a challenge.
But we all still have one thing.
We have a CHOICE…
…and be grateful for that. Some don’t!!
I know people who are MEGA busy, successful people who travel, yet they don’t complain that life is against them.
They work the system and are prepared to tackle obstacles they may face.
When I went to Guernsey a few weeks ago I was one week into my gut protocol.
I couldn’t just eat anything.
Birmingham airport is tough to find good food. I also had the obstacle of not knowing what food would be available to me once there.
It turned out, very little.
Luckily I had tins of mackerel and nut butters in my suitcase. Now people laugh at this when I tell them, I’m not sure why because it’s me who had the last laugh.
I faced my challenges and worked out a system.
And if you still think it’s hard, ask yourself this…
If you had a toddler and you went out for the day, I bet you’d prepare food for them, right?
Think about that one for a second.
You just would, right?.
Because imagine if you didn’t and you couldn’t find baby food??
So why can’t you do it for yourself?
It’s EXACTLY the same.
The thing is people have got out of the habit of looking after number one.
They’ve unlearnt the ability to think ahead and prepare.
So they choose blame and become the victim.
Which often leads to feeling rubbish and losing out on that potential of how they could be feeling…
…and the things they could be doing.
But I get it, I’ve been there.
It may feel tough, but that’s because you’re not doing it already.
Life isn’t easy…
…but it doesn’t have to be hard either.
The answer is simple, find yourself some portable foods.
Tinned Fish
Boiled Eggs
Nuts
Fruit
Cherry Tomato’s
Avocado
Cooked Meats
Olives
All these things can be transferred into a tupperware box.
It can ACTUALLY be SIMPLE.
Just don’t VALIDATE your own bullshit of excuses.
It’s your life, your health and your choice.
You get what you put in, right?
You’ll tell your kids that one day, so why aren’t you doing it too?
