If you’re here, then I’m going to presume you’re at least looking into it.

So that’s is a positive thing.

I remember 21 years ago when I first joined a gym in Leamington Spa.

This was a scary decision.

It was a New Years Resolution.

But…

It didn’t go down too well, for 6 months anyway.

As I never went.

The problem was I was reliant on a friend, and he didn’t go either!!

Anybody can join a gym, right?

But unfortunately going is a totally different thing… especially on your own.

I often tell this story in an attempt to help people relax a little more.

So…

You could say I understand partly where you are right now.

Enough was enough for me at the time. I needed to change and do something.

My health wasn’t good and my confidence levels were rock bottom.

So what did I do.

I hired a Personal Trainer.

His name was Richard.

We are still friends now; you could say he helped me change my life.

Of course I did the work but without him at that time in my life I may never have gone back and been guided onto a path I didn’t realize existed.

My journey to a much healthier and active lifestyle.

But the thing is there are many Personal Trainers out there now, things can often feel confusing who is the best person to help you…

…and there are even more reasons why you might just convince yourself not to begin.

So hopefully this blog could help you.

Here are 5 of the many reasons why hiring me as a Personal Trainer can help you:

1. Motivation

It’s fairly common that people struggle to stay motivated when trying to exercise alone.

Working alongside a Personal Trainer can help you overcome this.

When your energy levels drop from your busy work and family schedule, they can push your further away from doing the things that will essentially benefit you in the longer term.

Becoming more motivated can also help change the way you think about exercise.

For most people it can feel like a chore.

But when you start to see some results and you become more energized you’ll see the true value of how fitting exercise into your week regularly will help you.

2. Personal Improvement

Exercise is an opportunity to see what your body is capable of.

It doesn’t matter about your current level.

Everyone can improve.

You don’t even need to be running 10k races like you might see your friends doing.

Self-improvement can be physically and mentally.

  • Losing weight.
  • Feeling more energized.
  • Sleeping better.

These are a few of the physical benefits exercise will provide to anyone.

But it doesn’t stop there…

  • Your mental health will improve too.
  • You’ll cope with stress better.
  • Your productivity levels will also go up.

What’s not to like about that, right?

3. Safety

When you exercise alone is can be very easy to fall into bad habits at the gym.

Poor exercise technique for a start.

Niggles, pain and injuries are high up on the list as to why people can struggle with their weight and mind.

Simply… if you cannot move very well then you’ll do things to make sure you do less.

Plus, as you get older you’ll start to appreciate your body more. Things like back pain and shoulder niggles can cause a lot of stress in people’s life’s just from simple things they do around the house, cleaning the car or gardening etc.

Something that I do first with anybody is to help them move better.

When that happens you’ll be surprised how much easier it is to progress.

4. Confidence

One of the biggest reasons why people may struggle is confidence.

This could be mentally or physically.

I have a private gym so if you’re concerned about other people around you, it’ll likely just be me and you alone during our sessions.

Also, with the continued support and advice I will give you, you’ll gain more confidence as you’ll feel like if you wish too, you’ll gain the independence to go to a gym alone.

5. Accountability & Support

One of the benefits of having Personal Training is that if you have something booked in, you’re less likely to cancel that appointment.

You’ll also learn ways in which you’ll start to become more self-accountable.

Exercise is great but you’ll probably need to make some small adjustments to your lifestyle outside of that.

Which is what I can also help with.
